[Exclusive Interview] Drag Superstars Ginger Minj and Manila Luzon Talk Horror, Drag and Dragstravaganza!

To celebrate Halloween, Hulu teamed up with a number of creators to turn Halloween into Huluween, giving us drag specials, scary movies and spooky Halloween-themed episodes of some of their shows. In the first of my exclusive interviews, I got to talk with Ginger Minj and Manila Luzon about their Huluween special, Huluween Dragstravaganza, a celebration of all things Halloween.

The premise behind the 42 minute special is that two world-famous drag superstars (Monét X Change and Ginger Minj) get sucked into a TV and the only way to get out is to host a campy, spooky drag variety show. It’s a celebration of all things drag and pulls in stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Dragula and famous queens like Lady Bunny and Jackie Beat.

In the interview we get to talk about drag and horror, what it felt like bringing together a variety of drag stars and their relationship to the horror genre.
